I was born and raised in Kenya and am now based in Vancouver . I bring a unique blend of artistry and experience to every project I take on. As a professional chef with over 15 years working in some of Vancouver’s top kitchens, I understand food not just as a subject — but as a story, a craft, and a sensory experience. This culinary background gives me a distinctive eye behind the lens, allowing me to capture food with authenticity, depth, and emotion.

Beyond the kitchen, I’m a portrait and event photographer who specializes in natural light photography, refined through my UBC training. My work is warm, intentional, and story-driven — whether I’m documenting a milestone event, creating expressive portraits, or bringing a brand’s vision to life. I also have a deep love for music, which I express through jazz guitar, and it influences the rhythm and feeling in how I see and capture the world.

At the heart of everything I do is a passion for telling meaningful visual stories — about food, about people, and about the moments that connect us.

If my work resonates with you, I’d love to connect. Let’s explore what we can create together.

In addition to his commercial work, he is also also currently working on a photojournalism series from his upbringing in Kenya, and the 30 years he spent between Canada and America.
